Altris announces investment and collaboration with Volvo Cars

The Swedish sodium-ion battery developer Altris has today announced that Volvo Cars Tech Fund, the venture capital arm of Volvo Cars, is one of the strategic investors in Altris’ B1 funding round. In connection with this investment, Altris has entered into an agreement with Volvo Cars to collaborate on product development to identify new potential battery energy storage systems.

Altris Welcomes Clarios and Maersk Growth as New Investors in Series B1 Funding Round

The Swedish sodium-ion battery developer Altris has successfully raised SEK 150 million in a Series B1 funding round, introducing new investors such as Clarios and Maersk Growth. The financing will be used to finalize Altris’ pilot production facility, and thereby enable commercial production of sodium-ion cathode material for battery cells.
